Egypt’s General Authority for Supply Commodities (GASC), the state grains buyer, has concluded a procurement of 250,000 metric tons of raw sugar in a recent tender, marking an increase from the initially estimated 200,000 metric tons. The supply ministry has confirmed that the shipments are expected to be delivered between the months of May and July.
Traders had previously indicated an estimated arrival period of June and July for the purchased raw sugar. This procurement reflects Egypt’s ongoing efforts to secure essential commodities to meet domestic demand and ensure a stable supply of raw sugar for the specified period.
