According to data released by the World Steel Association, global crude steel production experienced a 4.3% decline in March compared to the same period a year earlier, amounting to 161.2 million metric tons.
Notably, China, the leading producer and consumer of steel globally, witnessed a 7.8% decrease in crude steel output, totaling 88.3 million tons for the month of March.
