Egypt’s General Authority for Supply Commodities (GASC) announced on Monday an extension of the deadline for offers in its recent sugar tender for 50,000 metric tons of raw cane sugar to March 30, moving from the initial deadline of March 23. The tender, initiated on March 17 on behalf of the Egyptian Sugar & Integrated Industries Company, seeks sugar of any origin.
GASC specified that offers must remain valid until April 1 and introduced shipment periods in June, July, and/or August. The payment methods, set at sight in Egyptian pounds or U.S. dollars on a Cost, Insurance, and Freight (CIF) basis, remain unchanged in the updated terms.
