Ukraine has exported 1.33 million metric tons of grains through the Romanian Black Sea port of Constanta in the first two months of the year, according to the port authority. As one of the world’s major grain exporters, Ukraine has increasingly utilized Constanta as a key export route following Russia’s invasion in February 2022. The port’s data highlights the significant grain volumes handled, with a notable uptick in February shipments. Improved road, rail, and barge transit infrastructure across the Danube river have facilitated the efficient movement of grains to Constanta, contributing to the port’s robust export performance.
